We are surrounded by liquid that contains the dawn of time, older than the very sun that shines down upon us. How are you even asking me what I do for a side hustle right now. Look at the sea bitch. Look at our matriarch.

I think the thing about necromancy is really the lack of choice regarding it, this being born an adept thing.
If it were a deal one could make, it’d be very sweet: you’ll get powers over human/life matter, you’ll be able to master hemocraft, bone magic, flesh magic, soul magic and siphoning, psychometry, healing; you’ll have to study for it BUT the catch is your health will be chronically depleted, not fatally, but you’ll never be strong or truly energetic, also you’ll have to surround yourself with death to power up.
And you’ll get assigned a jock best friend who you’ll develop a codependent relationship with, whether platonic or romantic is up to you, and whose soul you’ll have to play around with like a yarn ball every now and then.

What I love about this, though, is that the little nails will become an outline of where the water was. It will trace the shape, show someone later what was there once upon a time. It will be a testament to how much this guy wanted to capture the amazing things he saw and experienced, and though it will never truly keep it, it will hold a memory, something that in itself is beautiful and worthy of experience. We cannot describe the indescribable, but we can trace its outline, give some idea of what we experienced.

Boycott Eurovision
Just to also add, this song was originally called “October Rain” and it is 100% Israeli propaganda, they were forced to change the lyrics because they were too political, and so they censored it so it could bypass the rules.
“The president emphasised that at this time in particular, when those who hate us seek to push aside and boycott the state of Israel from every stage, Israel must sound its voice with pride and its head high and raise its flag in every world forum, especially this year,” KAN said.
Taken from euronews. They also tried submitting another propaganda song called “Dance Forever” but that was rejected.

What makes Poor Things so ultimately triumphant for me is the way that Bella Baxter is, despite it all, her own creation. She came into the world in an experiment that violated the autonomy of both Victoria before her and Bella herself, but she steps beyond the parameters of the experiment and into the world, to learn from it. The intentions of men may be to possess her or use her or take joy in despoiling her vulnerability, but their intentions do not determine her experiences. She decides. She explores. She looks at a world full of sorrow that could render her helpless and chooses instead to do what she can about it and then sleep easy at night. She listens to the call of her curiosity before all else, her happiness second, her compassion third. The family that she makes for herself in the end is unconventional, but it’s ultimately hers and allows her to flourish as a doctor with an experimental nature and a heart of patinaed silver.
And I don’t think it could be that particular kind of triumphant if the movie wasn’t so fucked up.
